Raith missed the chance to overtake Dunfermline at the top of the First Division after they could only manage a 2-2 draw at home to relegation-threatened Cowdenbeath.
After Rovers had come close in the first half through Gregory Tade and Iain Davidson, it was the Blue Brazil who took the lead 10 minutes into the second half.
Greg Stewart found the bottom corner from just inside the penalty area.
Raith levelled five minutes later through Grant Murray's close-range header from a Scott McBride corner but Stewart looked to have won it for Cowdenbeath as he easily converted after 70 minutes.
But Mark Campbell's 12-yard effort in the 89th minute levelled to leave Raith one point behind the Pars with four games to go.
