Thistle claim the points
Partick kept pace with league leaders Morton as they edged past Cowdenbeath 2-1 at the Firhill Stadium.
The visitors took the lead after just nine minutes when Kane Hemmings finished neatly from six yards following a scramble in the penalty area.
But the hosts drew level after 25 minutes through Steven Craig, who was well placed to finish James Craigen's cross from close range.
And they went ahead a minute before the break when Ross Forbes picked out Conrad Balatoni, who made no mistake from 12 yards.
Christopher Erskine went close to a third but his long-range effort was pushed round the post by Thomas Flynn after 60 minutes.
Balatoni came even closer minutes later when his header came back off the bar as the Jags dominated but could not add further gloss to their victory.
