Forfar and Cowdenbeath took a point apiece from their opening fixture in the Second Division as they played out a 2-2 draw.
The game was 11 minutes old when Mark Ramsay put the visiting side ahead. Goalkeeper Greg Paterson made a good stop after Ramsay was slipped in by Scott Linton, but the midfielder pounced on the rebound to give his side the lead.
The hosts levelled the score in the 58th minute through a set-piece routine as Chris Templeman laid the ball into the path of Mark McCulloch who dispatched his effort into the top corner.
Jordan Morton gifted the hosts a penalty four minutes later by impeding Greg Ross in the box and Templeman had no trouble converting.
However, Lewis Coult earned the visitors a draw with a neat finish from the edge of the box after Linton picked another smart pass in the 78th minute.
