It was Stirling Albion's big flag unfurling day at Forthbank on Saturday and because of this there were numerous bands on show before the game kicked off. In the end only one group had any of the crowd on their feet - Cowdenbeath FC.
Stirling took the lead in the first half when a scra, ble in the box from a corner saw the ball land at the feet of Robertson who then blasted the ball into the roof of the net. Cowden kept going but struggled in the first half but couldnt hit the back of the net.
Second half saw Dean Brett come off the bench for Mark Baxter who picked up a knock. New signing Lee Sibanda headered Cowden level by managing to sneak in front of the Stirling keeper and flicking the ball over him. Soon Cowden were piling on the pressure and finally we took the lead through Brett who fired home from the edge of the area. The ball hitting the inside of the post before rolling all the way along the line and going in.
Aitken had previously been booked and picked up a second booking after a rough tackle. Cowden were on cruise control and killed the game off when John Dempster ran turned a defender inside out and ran in before firing past the helpless keeper.
