Stein Signs On

Cowdenbeath completed the signing of the Montrose winger Jay Stein this week. Jay has signed a 2 year deal with the Blue Brazil and will hopefully play a big part for Cowden this season.

The 29 year old started his career at Raith Rovers where he was involved in over a 100 games for the club. He signed for our rivals Stenhousemuir in the summer of 2002 and played a big part in keeping Stenhousemuir in the 2nd division that season. His impressive displays for the Warriors led to him being signed for then first division side Brechin City. He only managed to play a handful of games for City and was then transferred to East Fife in Jan 2004. At the end of that season Forfar became the 5th different club to sign Stein where he went on to play in 37 games for the Loons. Arbroath then came in and he played in over 75 games before moving to another Angus club in 2007. He played in over 40 games for Montrose.

Jay currently lives in Cowdenbeath - hopefully he can put in some classy performances for his home club.

With the transfer window closing soon there will be a full review of Cowdens summer transfers posted soon.
