Cowdenbeath defender Kenny Adamson has recovered from a knock.
But there is an injury doubt over fellow centre-back Joe Mbu, while Dene Droudge and Danny Mackay continue to be sidelined with long-term injuries.
Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre: "We have been there or thereabouts for most of the season and it would be good to end the year in top spot by getting a win.
"We know from earlier in the season that Cowdenbeath will make it very hard for us."
Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl: "We have started giving away soft goals and that is something we were not doing earlier in the season.
"We have only had the one game in the past month at Dundee, so we need to have everyone on top form for this one."
