Cowdenbeath V Raith at Central Park - Match Preview

O'Brien blow for Beath

Cowdenbeath will be without Thomas O'Brien for their Fife Derby against Raith Rovers.

O'Brien is suspended following his dismissal against Morton last Saturday.

Player/manager Colin Cameron will finalise his side after a fitness test on David Cowan, with the Central Park boss upbeat despite their opening day loss in Greenock.

Cameron said: "There were more good things in that performance than bad things so we can face Raith Rovers with confidence.

"We have to fix a couple of things defensively but we are looking good when we go forward at teams.

"If we can get a break in front of goal we will get those first points on board."

Raith head to Central Park with a fully-fit and suspension-free squad, however manager Grant Murray is contemplating changes after losing 1-0 to Hamilton Accies last weekend.

The Kirkcaldy side failed to beat their neighbours last season and Murray is looking to put that right.

He said: "We had done well against Hamilton until we lost the goal and we never got back into things.

"The biggest learning has to be that you have to score when you are on top.

"We are aiming to bounce back quickly in what will be a feisty fixture. It would be good to get the win for a few reasons."17-08-13 06517-08-13 065
