Cowdenbeath V Raith at Central Park - Match Preview

Cowdenbeath will again be without suspended captain John Armstrong as they host Raith in their second Fife derby of the season.

The Blue Brazil are also missing Scott Linton, who has a knee injury, and long-term absentee Liam Cusack, however Zeph Thomas has returned from international duty and Lewis Milne should be available following an ankle knock.

Player/manager Colin Cameron said: "This marks the end of the first quarter of games and we want to end it positively. We did well last weekend in the Ramsdens Cup semi-final against Partick but we just could not force a goal.

"Hopefully we can do that against Raith and, after losing to Dunfermline in our first derby match this season, it would be great to win our second."

Raith make the short journey to Cowdenbeath boasting fit-again former Blue Brazil striker Pat Clarke.

Clarke is available to Rovers again having spent the past month on the sidelines nursing a calf injury.

Boss Grant Murray watched the Central Park side in action last weekend against Partick and he was impressed. He said: "Cowdenbeath are a decent side who ran a strong Partick team very close, so our players have been told that only our best will do.

"We did not have any derby games last season as Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath and us were in different divisions so it's great to have them back as these games have an edge.

"We have been brooding for a couple of weeks after losing a late goal to Dumbarton and only drawing, so kick-off cannot come quick enough."
