Cowdenbeath V Partick at Central Park - Match Preview

O'Brien misses out on action

Thomas O'Brien will be missing for Cowdenbeath when Partick come calling for the second time in three days.

The defender was dismissed when the Glasgow side won 3-0 on Wednesday and will sit this one out as a result.

Jason Naismith is included after it was confirmed he did not suffer a concussion in midweek, while player/manager Colin Cameron could make the substitutes' bench following a hamstring problem.

Dean Brett is a doubt with a leg knock and Liam Cusack's knee injury keeps him out of the action.

Cameron said: "We were poor on Wednesday but to be fair to the boys I have not had to say that too often this season. Thistle are a good team but we gave goals away to them.

"It is good that we can get straight back into things and avoid brooding over it."

Partick Thistle skipper Paul Paton will miss out after picking up a knee injury in the meeting between the sides in Fife on Wednesday.

Hugh Murray is also absent due to a foot injury, with Steven Craig required to pass a fitness test before he is included.

Thistle boss Alan Archibald believes there is no more pressure on his side now, despite them hitting top spot for the first time in 2013 with their 3-0 Central Park success in midweek.

He said: "We are at a stage in the season where we had to win every game anyway. Going into this one feels no different to Wednesday when we were second.

"We will need to play well again as Cowdenbeath will be out to make up for losing."
