Cowdenbeath V Partick at Central Park - Match Preview

Stewart starts for Blue Brazil

Goalkeeper Colin Stewart will play for a third time as a trialist in place of Thomas Flynn (hand) as Cowdenbeath take on title-chasing Partick.

Player-manager Colin Cameron is out with a hamstring injury and Liam Cusack's knee problem keeps him idle, but Greg Stewart is expected to overcome a knock he sustained in Saturday's 3-2 win over Airdrie to feature.

This game is a restaging of the February 26 fixture between the clubs that was abandoned due to fog with Cowdenbeath leading 2-1 with 20 minutes to go, and Cameron said: "I am looking for us to put on the same level of performance as we did that night but get what we deserve points-wise this time."

Partick will give Aaron Sinclair a fitness check ahead of kick-off after the defender sustained an ankle knock in Saturday's 2-0 success at Hamilton.

Central midfielder Paul Paton remains sidelined due to an ankle problem with the Jags out for the win that will take them to the top of the table.

Interim manager Alan Archibald said: "We were disappointing in the meeting that was abandoned so have plenty to make up for.

"We have played Cowdenbeath three other times this season and won them but never by more than one goal. That shows how difficult this game will be.

"It is a tight park and they are strong at home with a really good striker so we need to play well to get to the top."
