Cowdenbeath V Morton at Central Park - Match Preview

Caddis boost for Cowdenbeath

Cowdenbeath player-manager Colin Cameron has brought in St Johnstone midfielder Liam Caddis on loan to bolster his squad ahead of the visit of leaders Morton.

The Blue Brazil are without Mark Ramsay, Greg Stewart and Liam Cusack while Dean Brett is struggling with a foot knock.

Having been ahead in their last three matches and pegged back to draw them all, Cameron has a simple message for his players

He said: "We need to get ahead and we need to stay ahead. We are playing well but for some reason we are in the bad habit of losing leads.

"Morton losing to Dumbarton did us no favours as it will make them extra determined to bounce back in this game."

Morton are reeling from Wednesday's 3-0 defeat by bottom side Dumbarton.

That game could be even more costly as Mark McLaughlin, Craig Reid and Martin Hardie are struggling after picking up knocks.

Steven Stirling remains out with a broken leg.

Manager Allan Moore said: "After beating Partick Thistle and Dunfermline it was disappointing to lose at home to Dumbarton, particularly in the manner we did.

"It was a poor day but we have the chance to win three points at Cowdenbeath and if someone had suggested that we would have taken nine points from this run of four games at be at the top of the league we would have probably taken it."
