Cowdenbeath V Airdrie Utd at Central Park - Match Preview

McAllister set for debut

Cowdenbeath include new signing Sean McAllister in their squad for the visit of bottom side Airdrie United.

A lack of recent games is likely to mean that the 25-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday, Shrewsbury Town and Port Vale midfielder will start on the bench with player-manager Colin Cameron spoiled for choice as David Cowan, Jason Naismith and Mark Ramsay are all available after injury.

Cameron remains out with a hamstring problem with Liam Cusack's knee injury keeping him absent and the Blue Brazil will have Colin Stewart in goal again in place of Thomas Flynn who has an injured hand.

The Central Park boss said: "We are looking to win this game to climb the table as opposed to seeing it as a relegation battle."

Airdrie have Sean Lynch available after a ban.

Marc Warren is also included for the trip to Fife after overcoming a foot injury but Grant Evans (thigh), Gavin Griffin (ankle), Jack Boyle (knee) and Paul di Giacomo (hamstring) are out.

Jimmy Boyle's side are seven points behind their hosts and the Airdrie boss is determined to cut that gap.

He said: "This is a massive game when you consider where we both are in the league. A win would be fantastic and hopefully start a few teams above us panicking.

"We showed last week against Dunfermline that we can score goals and hopefully we can do so again at Cowdenbeath but see the game out this time."
