Beath aiming to stop the rot
Cowdenbeath look for their first league win in eight games against Airdrie and defender Kenny Adamson should be available after returning to training on Thursday.
The 24-year-old had been struggling with a knee injury picked up in last Saturday's 1-0 defeat from Dumbarton, however player-manager Colin Cameron expects him to face the Diamonds.
Not such good news for Cameron is the continued absence of Scott Linton, Pablo Navas, Lewis Milne and Liam Cusack through injury.
Cameron said: "It has been a while since our last league win and we want that to end.
"A win would open up a five-point gap on Airdrie whereas a defeat would see them go above us. I know what I would prefer and I am sure the players feel the same."
Airdrie youngster Andrew Duncan will replace the injured Kenny Arthur in goal.
The Diamonds are also without Cameron MacDonald and Sean Lynch through injury, however, John Boyle should return after an ankle injury after missing out on the 4-3 Scottish Cup defeat from Raith Rovers in midweek.
Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "It is always disappointing to go out of a cup competition but we put in a far better performance than we had against Livingston in our last league game.
"If we can reach that level of performance again against Cowdenbeath then we have the chance of getting a win and moving up the way in the table."
