Transfers

Cowdenbeath were busy in the transfer market this week. Leaving the club for a nominal fee is top scorer John Gemmell who has signed for promotion rivals Montrose. John scored 14 goals for the Blue Brazil last year and his absense this year will be a big blow.

Coming in to Central Park this week is young Scott McBride who has signed on a 6-month loan deal from local rivals Dunfermline Athletic. Scott, a midfielder, had a successful loan spell at Arbroath last year and Danny Lennon is excited at the prospect of seeing McBride pull on the Cowden strip next season.

Cowden play Ross County in a pre-season friendly tomorrow at Victoria Park with a 3pm kick off.
